A Day in the Life of Judebug.

The boy has no time for pictures, there are things to do. Judebug can be very silly, but much of the time he spends exploring is business, not pleasure.

This grey day he had a cold and didn't want me to wipe his face after lunch. He was sick, I let him life his life the way he wanted. Can you blame me?

Plus when you get dreamy eyes like this, you wouldn't make him cry just to get a few measly prunes off of his face.

But when Dad gets home, its all fun all the time. Jude even got to peek in his secret stash of toys...the toy chest. Well I guess peek isn't the best word.

I can't think of a better word for it, though.

Exploring and Mess Making

Okay, okay. So this isn't the most flattering picture in the whole world. But too bad, because the little pictures I have to choose from are too small so I can't see if someone is mid-blink. So deal with it. Plus, Jude is so cute so whatever, take one for the team. Jude discovered how fun it was to climb in this little house right before we left!

Determination is key. It is something that Jude has.

My little athletic man can't just climb, he can run! This picture is so Judebug. He just zooms around in this car running at high speed. Also, crashing into ankles at high speed.

Of course when you read the title you thought that Jude was making a mess. HA! Like my little angel would do such a thing. No way, it was Marin.

Although his golden blonde hair does lend itself toward angelic type photos.

Cousin Marin comes to town

Jude's only older cousin Marin came to visit from California. Important note to all the people reading this blog who saw it on my facebook link but who I don't know- this is not my son. I do not part my son's hair down the middle. And yes, his mother really does make his hair like this every day. I tried to convince her otherwise, but what can you do? Plus, I guess the style suits his personality, right?

Alright so she doesn't do it every day, but I kind of feel like she should. Alfalfa Marin has a nice ring to it.

Here is a rare glimpse of the little monster with "food" in his mouth. Other than fruit loops this may be all he ate that day.

And by "this" I do mean baby swiss cheezits. Oh well, he's holding weight really well so I guess it doesn't matter. It's all the same if he's holding weight in his head versus his body...I think.

And this is the sweet face of the sweetest cousin around. Stay tuned for Part II where you will get a deeper glimpse into the life of Marin: Bully Extraordinaire.

Easten: I think that you should probably forward this blog page to everyone you know that hasn't seen Marin in a while.

Food. Face.

Listen, I remember back in the day when Marin (Jude's cousin) would make a food face. This was a face that he made in order to make it clear that he would not eat, not even one bite, and that was the end of the story. Jude has a different food face. Also, food breasts and a food belly. I like to think that it looks worse than it was because he is so white that the prunes really stand out on his skin. You can decide for yourself.

What's the big deal? Just grabbing a measuring cup, no different than any other time that he's naked and covered in mashed prunes, sitting in a bumbo (or bimbo chair as Jillian might say) chair.

The truth is, I'm not the worst Mom in the world. It's just that by six months old, Jude feels like he is old enough to feed himself and I just think that children are coddled too much when they are young and that Jude can have his independence. So he fed himself. He might not get enough food, but at least he's happy, right?

Jude and I agree: This just isn't a big deal- so get the camera out of my face.

Look how proud he is, how can you deny that little Judebug anything? ...Especially a bath.

Neighbors.

John, Jillian, and Briasson all moved in just one room away from us and it has been just the very best blessing! Briasson likes it, trust me. Although it is typical to not be entirely sure if he is happy or sad or thinking about grass.

What's the big deal? I'm just walking around my walker.

Munch. This is Briasson showing Jude what he can do when he has three teeth...instead of zero.

And this is Jude showing Briasson how to "crawl"...well Jude's version anyway.

Hello Judebug.

Chubby Bubby

Bread Dough. BOOM.

Jude loves playing with his Pops. He also loves being toted around. So... perfect world!

Look at that little monster!

So silly.

Jude never really uses a paci anymore, but he likes to play with them and can figure out how to get them in the right way, which is so cute!

Home sweet home

Vacation was fun, but Jude is glad to be home! He started planning mischief as soon as we arrived.

Aw.

He is sitting on the big boy side of the bath now! He loves to play with his toys too.

Muscle man.

Little boy in a big old chair.

The vacation never stops.

So I understand you probably thought you had already seen enough of this dimply bum, but guess what...you haven't. So here it is up close and personal, just they way that high little butt crack is supposed to be.

And to all you black and white photo haters, guess what? Black and white. Like it, love it. Look how cute the bug is. These trees are all around Robert's house. They are cool, right? Right, Tax?

Testing out the (cold) water. I like this photo because if you look closely you may see a chilly bear (literally) and Jude's crazy uncle (we all have one).

Look at those chubby fingers! Jude's getting ready to shop in the husky section of the store. Too bad "the store" happens to be garage sales, and the "husky section" is anything that fits him and is less than a dollar.

Could he be any cuter? No, he can't.

More Vacation

Briasson slept through church (typical) so we PLAYED INSTEAD!

Jude got an early start to the life of a bad boy. I think the muscle tee is fitting.

Life father like son...sleeping their lives away!

Look at those rolls....Jude's I mean, thank you very much.

Jude cares more about protection from the sun than he does about the amount of grease upon his face. Look at that shiny bald head.
