Outdoors

When the weather took a turn for the better, Jude and I were able to enjoy some time outside. He is beginning to ride in his stroller for a bit longer, maybe 25 minutes, but then when we came home he wanted to play in the grass for longer.

Although the sun presented a bit of a challenge.

Listen, he's a tough guy. Don't let the elephant jammies fool you. If he wants to play outside, he will. If he wants to get out of his stroller...he will.

Exploring...exploring his fat wrists.

"Dear God, please get me out of this grass. I want to watch American Idol. I also pray that something horrible happens to my stroller. Amen"

Getting Serious

Jude can be a very happy baby. The past few weeks it has become increasingly easy to make him smile and he finds many different things enjoyable. But the fact is, sometimes life is about work and not just fun, which is a fact that Jude appreciates at a very young age. I was lucky enough to catch him doing a bit of work, here he is on a business call.

But after a quick business call, it was time for work. He kept getting distracted so he began to hold his place with his finger, so that when he needed to look away to scold the "adults" around him that were so rudely interrupting, he could get right back to work.

It ended up being a quick read for the little man. He finished in a matter of minutes. He was very thankful to Grandma for letting him borrow her work book and apologized for all the tabbing he did in it.

After his read, he put back on his regular glasses and wanted to discuss the literature. He did not appreciate the paparazzi in his book discussion.

I think this picture speaks volumes about how Jude feels about interruptions during work time. Something tells me homeschooling will be all too easy. Needless to say this was the last picture taken. You can't continue to disrespect a man who shoots you this look...

Sleepy

Well this first picture isn't sleeping but I needed to include it. I call it the "hey, who is this guy" face.

After Jude nurses, he usually falls asleep and I can put him anywhere for a few moments before I transfer him to the bed or his bjorn. What a little angel!

Sometimes he looks a little less like an angel

But if you add a special buddy, he's back to looking sweet!

Odds and Ends

Jude has become a master grabber lately, and even loves to grab anything and pull it to his mouth. He's becoming so coordinated!

Sometimes we hate pants. But we always love bug socks.

Sometimes we let Daddy dress us. And those times result in outfits like this... (on the left)

And sometimes we don't want our picture taken, but other times we are too happy with our friends to complain.
