Birthday, Part I

This past Wednesday was my (Emma) Birthday, and Robert had to work then go to night class so I was worried I would be alone all day, and that Jude would be cranky- but that wasn't the case! Jude had a great day and Grandma and Aunt Jillian, cousin Briasson and Uncle John came over for a visit and wonderful lunch! Then Ms. Bethany, Ms. Taylor and Ms. Megan came over with treats! It was a great day. First, Jude played with all of the colorful beads that Grandma brought over. Its like the rich mans vitamin box...sorry Marin.

Grandma tried to teach Jude how to chew on the cold toy to help his teeth feel better, but he still didn't really get it.

Listen, I don't know where he is learning to use that finger so frequently but I do know that Grandma is always around when he does so I'm beginning to have my suspicions...

Jude loved his Grandma time.

And here you can see Uncle John holding the bubbly mouth- something he must have been learning from his cousin.

The best birthday photos are coming tomorrow: featuring the cousins together! Stay tuned...

  1. Listen, Jude may have the beads, but who will have the last laugh when Marin is strong and healthy from his vitamins and Jude is wearing jewelry? Jude has got some chunk on him! He'll probably have chubby thighs until next week when he starts crawling, and then it will all come off.

  2. 1. If Marin is someday strong, it won't be from vitamins, which he doesn't like. It may, however, be from the paper on the outside of the vitamin jars.

    2. If Auntie Puffy continues to crack wise about Jude wearing jewelry, he will give her the finger and then punch her with his ever-present fists.

    3. In swear-finger photo # 3, Jude and I were just discussing the prospects of another four years with Obama. Jude was NOT happy.

    4. Of course Jude loves Grandma-time--almost as much as Hamma-time.

  3. Did Marin's chubby thighs melt away when he started crawling?
