The Game

This one time, Robert put this bag on Jude's head. Despite the fact that many of these types of "games" end up with a very upset pale little monkey, this one did not. He spent the better part of the following week putting the bag on his own head, then crawling as fast as he could.

Look how happy he is! As soon as he got it over his head, he would get the biggest smile. My judebug.

Away!

Dude, it's my turn.

Dude, don't touch the glasses.

When he didn't have his mesh bag around, Jude found other things to put on his head.

Jude's getting a jump start on his hard partying future. No pants, shirt on his head.

All things for your Mouth

Well I had to get some good bath shots with no booty because Robert doesn't want his booty on the internet. Unlucky for you all.

Jude recently has been really into putting tiny things in his mouth, but ones that are just big enough that I don't have to worry about him swallowing them. He's so considerate.

Like this advil bottle. Nom nom.

This is pretty much what he spent the whole bath time doing.

Okay, he also blew raspberries too.

And chatted. Whatever, he is a multitasker. He did a lot.

This is one of aunt jillians nail polish bottles. It is his favorite thing to keep in his mouth. Sorry about the fuzzy picture, but this guy is on the move.

1 year!

Look at that funny man, making his old man face and pointing. He has so many skills!

Like sitting in a bucket. Jealous?

Can your baby do this? Doubt it.

Plus he can find stuff in it too. So whatever, he's advanced.

But really! Today is sweet Judebug's birthday. We can't believe he is already 1! He is just the most wonderful blessing that the Lord could have ever given us and we are forever grateful for him in our life :) We love our baby bug.

From just after he came home. I got a chance to have him nap on my on the way to and from California and it was such a sweet, sweet time. I miss it!

Perfection.

I know, I know. I really should stop the blog post right here. You aren't going to REALLY see anything after this, am I right? Yeah. I am. Here's the thing, this picture is literally a perfect representation of their relationship. I mean, I don't need to say anything else. Let's be real for three seconds, you've stopped reading this anyway. You are just marveling at the perfection that is directly above the text. Whatever.

HI CABBAGE PATCH.

This was before he lost his mind.

Or at least before he lost the last bits of sanity.

Jude loves entertaining friends when they are at a comfortable distance. I get it, bug, I really do.

Seriously, if Jude knew what was happening directly behind him- that little, personal-space-less monkey drinking his cup, he would have lost his cool.

Look at that pointy little tongue. He's just a medical miracle, isn't he?

Don't be mistaken, this is not a kiss. Although it is how Briasson shows love. He shows love in 7 ways. 7 very sharp and shark-like ways.

This is my nephew. And I love him.

Friends Forever

Sometimes you just want to eat breakfast with your friends. I mean, I get it.

There's just enough space for two cuties.

I'm not sure if you can tell, but this is after he finished breakfast. He's too cute. I know.

You know what else friends do? Share their half melted, half eaten baby snacks. Yeah, Jude's a really good friend.

Bestbuddies!

Versatility

Sometimes a boy just needs a snack, am I right or am I right?

It's winter in Wheaton which can only mean one thing: winter coats. Look what a peep he is in his puffy jacket!

And, duh, you need a quick morning cuddle every day to start the adventures right.

But it isn't all snow play and cuddling, a boy needs to get his reading on too. Robert saw a picture of Jude reading the other day and I couldn't have said it better: "He's really doing a phenomenal job at his independent reading"

But at the end of the day, when the studies are done, the cuddling is satisfactory, and he's full of stolen snacks, an average boy just needs a 3d movie.

Real Men Knit

Robert took this depressing picture. Jude wanted to play with beads, but kept eating them so Gooma removed him from the situation. This is often how he looks withOUT Gooma...

Real men knit. Yeah, they do. Big deal? In other news, Easten was recently talking about something and said "it's not like we are just sitting around and knitting" then realized that I recently learned the craft and quickly changed it to "but not the cool kind"

Nice save.
Not.

It turns out, however, that a man knitting is just a different style. First he sharpens the needle with his gums of steel.

Once the weapon is fully fashioned, it is on to the knitting SLASH STABBING. How masculine.

The point. It's one of Jude's favorite things to do in the world. Also, the following "being carried to wherever he is pointing" is a favorite.

Hiii, this is why Jude gets what he wants. It really is an evil eye at its finest I would say. At least he inherited something from his mom...
